He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Wittau and Rita Mae Wittau; his brother Steven Wittau; his brothers-in-law, Mike Everard and Sean Harrigan; his aunt Eileen; and his uncle Bob Barthel.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Wittau; his children, TiShaunda McPherson (Michael), Paul Wittau (Elizabeth) and Matthew Wittau; his grandsons, Malcolm and Isaiah; and his siblings, Eileen Everard (Mike), Rita Johnson (Tom), Gene Wittau (Karen), Kathy Wittau (Sean), Julie Wittau (Mike), Donna Navarre-Smith (Dan) and Neil Dylan.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Catholic Church (779 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Maryhill Catholic Cemetery (8600 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
In lieu of flowers, donations to WBEZ Chicago Public Radio in Tom's name to honor him and his favorite news station and help continue its programming would be greatly appreciated.
