She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore (Bernice Schmidt) and Elmhurst; her husband Edward J. Hayes; and her son Brian. She is survived by: her children, Edward, Julie (Mike Kopp), Lori, Jeff (Donna) and Chris (Michelle); her grandchildren, Cameron Kopp (Tara), Kelly Kopp, Connor Kopp (Alyssa), Melissa, Sara (JP Finan) and Joey (Carolyn); and her sisters, Arlene Schmidt and Karen (John Burnette).
