He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Carroll and Martha Devaney Gooch; his wife Barbara L. Gooch; his children, Bonnie Cheffer (Chris) and Brad Gooch (Amy); his grandchildren, Kimberly Bretl (John), Ashley Kalis (Ian), Keri Gooch, Courtney Gooch and Kendall Gooch; his great grandchildren, Andrew Bretl and Ethan Bretl; and his daughter Brenda Gooch.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Elmhurst Community Funeral Home – the Ahlgrim Chapel (567 Spring Rd, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's United Church of Christ (125 W Church St, Elmhurst, IL 60126).
