Daniel’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mamie Steffy and Irwin Steffy; his wife Eleanor; and his children, Daniel Jr. (Sue), Melissa Wolf, Roxanne Shelby and Douglas (Carol).
He is survived by: his pets, Chaos and Cyrus. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The military honors will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
