It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John E. Doran (Elwood, Illinois), who passed away on August 26, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, John is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that John's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Nancy; his parents, John Doran and Sophie Doran; his son Michael Doran (Kim); his stepchildren, John Gedwill and Susan Delogu (Joseph); his grandsons, Michael Toolan and Jonathan Gedwell; and his brother Steven Doran (Marguerite). He was also cherished by nieces and great nieces.
