He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles and Elsie; and his siblings, Lois, Bob and John.
He is survived by: his wife Colleen Runyon; his children, Paula Dybas (late Ted), Jana Runyon, Kelly Runyon and Sean Runyon; and his siblings-in-law, Pat Weitz (late Frank), Sharon King (John Edwards), Maureen Pochron (Jack), Sheila Stull and Kevin King (Theresa). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 11:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel (15525 73rd Ave, Orland Park, IL 60462). The military honors was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
