We are sad to announce that, on February 14, 2026, at the age of 87, Kenneth L. Cowan (Energy, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Cowan and Essie Cowan (Chitwood); his wife Glenda Lavon Cowan; and his children, Deborah Sue Heern and Kenneth Wayne Cowan.
He is survived by: his daughter Kimra L. Brand (James) of Herrin; his grandchildren, Jared Glen Warren (Sue Ellen) of Herrin, Jacob Wayne Warren (Jacqueline) of Herrin, Kendra Lee Jones (David) of Thompsonville and Ross William Heern (Bethany) of Mulkeytown; his great grandchildren, Brayden Michael Warren, Field Carson Warren, Cole Wayne Warren, Lainey Jo Warren, Kenzie Lee Jones, Wyatt Allen Jones, Violet Mae Jones, Penelope Grace Heern, Cade Ira Heern and Logan William Heern; and his son-in-law Kenny Heern of Thompsonville.
Memorials in Kenneth's name may be made to Kimra Brand to assist with funeral expenses and will be accepted at the funeral.
