With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Jean South of Enfield, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 15, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Harlan and Mary Leona Cushman (Wright); her husband Garrett Francis South; her daughter Linda Lou South; and her siblings, Joyce Smith, Norma Etienne, June Rister, Larry Cushman, Carl Cushman and Charles Cushman.
She is survived by: her sister Shirley Carter of Norris City; and her sisters-in-law, Reba Cushman of Enfield and Dixie South of Enfield. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
