He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Manetta Muenstermann and Frank Leo Bayer; his wife Mona Williams; his parents-in-law, Leah and Bob Williams; and his brother Michael.
He is survived by: his children, Jarah Jillian (Alex) of Evansville, IN, Lisa (John Gehner) of Athens, GA and Mark (Pamela) of Charleston, IL; his grandchildren, Jackson Bayer (Sabrina), Addie Gladu (Robbie), Ashlyn Robison (Ethan), Ayla Gehner-Price (Eric), Lil Gehner, Wyatt Gehner, Crew Scates and Leo Scates; his great grandchildren, Pine Gehner-Price, Wren, Sunny Gladu, Cora and Bonnie Robison; his siblings, Carl (Mabel), Richard (Peggy), James (Liz), Martha Glover, Joann Lovell (Kenny), Donna Gwaltney (Terry) and Linda Bayer; and his siblings-in-law, Janice and Billy Lane. He is also survived by 40 nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Vickery Funeral Chapel - Equality (416 W Elm St, Equality, IL 62934). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery.
