He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Burtis and Mary Madeline Burtis (Dempsey); and his son Joseph Burtis. He is survived by : his wife Kathy Burtis of Equality; his sons, Terry (Sudie Burtis) and Jack Burtis of Indianapolis, Indiana; and his daughter-in-law Cathy Burtis of Equality. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; ninteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
