He was predeceased by: his parents, Orviel McCuan and Leora McCuan (Craig); his wife Helen Adams; and his son James William "Jimmy" Merritt. He is survived by: his children, Donna Price of Harrisburg and Larry McCuan (Pam); and his grandchildren, Brian Tolley of Caseyville, Ashley Dooley (Daniel) of McLeansboro, Amy Tolley of Harrisburg and Amanda Payne of Harrisburg. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
