He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William Brown, Sr. and Iva Brown (Hogarth); and his sister Glenda Brown. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Deines (Plumb) of Erie; his children, Jen Temple (Drew), Chris Brown (Angie), Robert Deines (Lisa), Dan Deines (Adriane), LeClaire and Cole Deines; his grandchildren, Katelyn McConnell (Owen), Brynn, Caleb Brown, Carter, Stella Deines, Elle and Ethan Deines; his great grandchildren, Brior, Wrenlee and Ruth McConnell; his sisters, Marty Klimstra and Trudy Bell; and his mother-in-law Betty Plumb.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Newton Zion Reformed Church (10465 Frog Pond Rd, Erie, IL 61250). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 722 5th Ave, Erie, IL 61250.
