He was predeceased by: his parents, Alney Hargrave and Mildred Hargrave (Mulcay); his sons, Steve and Scott Hargrave; and his sister Gloria Hargrave.
He is survived by: his wife Jerri; his daughters, Kristine Puent (Dan) of Eureka, IL, Julie Jones (Joe) and Erie; his grandchildren, Nathaniel Puent, Natalie Voss (Tyler), Hayley Inman (Nate), Mya Jones and Aylah Jones; and his great grandchildren, Matthew, Lane, Lee, Amelia and Ellie.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gibson-Bode Funeral Home (616 Main St, Erie, IL 61250). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Erie United Methodist Church (811 8th St, Erie, IL 61250).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Erie United Methodist Church or the Erie Ambulance.
