It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willis E. Sikkema of Erie, Illinois, who passed away on May 11, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Sikkema and Gertrude Sikkema (Wilkins); his wife Lois Jean Oostenryk; and his siblings, Wilma Jean Stadt, Robert and Arnold Sikkema.
He is survived by: his children, Christine Nichols (Dale) of Clinton, IA, Paul Sikkema of Clinton, IA and Andy Sikkema (Shelle) of Clinton, IA; his grandchildren, Billy Ebensberger (Tracy), Richard Ebensberger (Amanda), Rebekah Ebensberger, Rose Ebensberger, Sarah Peterson (Eric), Rebekah Wheatley, Sarah Abolt, Anna Murphey and Jacob Abolt; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Stadt of Rockford, MI, Larry Oostenryk (Pat) of Albany, IL and Roberta Sikkema of Thomson, IL.. He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established to Unity Christian School.
