He was predeceased by : his parents, Alfred (Christiana Ellis) and Allan. He is survived by : his wife Susan Ellis; his daughters, Pamela Ellis, Amy Ellis, Kathryn Ellis (Troy Hunter) and Marcy Ellis-Williams (Keith Williams); and his grandchildren, Shayne, Cody Simon, Jackson and Julia Williams.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Donnellan Family Funeral Home (10045 Skokie Blvd, Skokie, IL 60077). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Donnellan Family Funeral Services (10045 Skokie Blvd, Skokie, IL 60077).
