He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. F. Rudnicki and Helen Nadenichek. He is survived by: his wife Joan Weston; his children, Jean (Carlo), Stephen (Mariah) and Chris; his grandchildren, Kevin, Samantha, Malik, Summit and Jason; his sister Ann; and his daughter Ellen.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Donnellan Family Funeral Home (10045 Skokie Blvd, Skokie, IL 60077).
His professional achievements included publication of the textbook Fundamentals of Continuum Mechanics in 2014, numerous medals for his contributions to his field, and a CV his daughter characterized as "impressive," although he adamantly disagreed.
