He was predeceased by: his parents, Urban Steidinger and Ollie Moser Steidinger; his siblings, Maurice, Donald, Dennis, David Steidinger, Elizabeth Steidinger and Mary Lou Kaeb; and his great grandchild Kendall Schaffer.
He is survived by: his children, Jeanette Slagel (Ryan) of Salem, OR, Sharon Kuenzi (Keith) of Salem, OR, Alan Steidinger (Tricia) of Pontiac, Loren Steidinger (Devon) of Chenoa, Jill Waibel (Nathan) of Forrest, Teri Stork (Matt) of Chatsworth, Teresa Slagel (Trent) of Pontiac, Gary Steidinger (Annette) of Fairbury, Greg Steidinger (Maria) of Fairbury and Julie Schaffer (Nelson) of Sabetha, KS; and his siblings, Marjorie Edelman of Sabetha, KS, Velda Glueck (Karl) of Tremont, Barbara Kaeb (Ronald) of Fairbury, Eldon Steidinger (Darlene) of Fairbury, Thomas Steidinger (Dianne) of Fairbury and Judy Bachtold (Terry) of Strawn. He is also survived by 94 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Christian Apostolic Church (201 Church St, Forrest, IL 61741).
