She was predeceased by : her parents, Ludwig Metz and Persida Honegger Metz; her husband Earl Eugene Gerber; and her siblings, Christian, Emil, William, David and Elizabeth Johnson.

She is survived by : her children, Wayne Gerber (Carolyn) of Fairbury, Kathy Leman (Jerry) of Fairbury, Alan Gerber (Marcia) of Fairbury, Forrest of Fairbury, Sandra Schneider (Jim) of Fairbury and Trish Steidinger (Martin) of Fairbury; and her siblings, Ruth Metz, Ben Metz (Miriam) of Francesville, IN and Arthur Metz (Betty).

The family suggests memorials be given to Serenity Villa at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
