Kathryn L. Metz Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kathryn L. Metz of Fairbury, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 2, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harlan Underwood and Minnie Underwood (Brown); and her husband Kenny Metz. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Wharton, Sherrie Schmidgall (Sam), Forrest and Jeanie Ingram; her grandchildren, Robert Benjamin Wharton, Jodi Wharton (Eric Coit), Brad Schmidgall (Anna) and Kelli Cruce (Mike); her great grandchildren, Cole Shawback, Dany, Sydnee Wharton, Carolyn, Henry, Elaine Schmidgall, Reagan and Wyatt Cruce; and her sisters-in-law, Elsie Schaffer (Rich) and Peggy Metz. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
