With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Smith Joseph Bachtold of Fairbury, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 29, 2025 at the age of 28. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Smith Joseph Bachtold to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Roger, Shirlene Bachtold and Liz Uphoff. He is survived by: his parents, Joe Bachtold and Cathy Bachtold (Uphoff); his sisters, Joelle Jones (Nick) of Fairbury, Miah Uren (Micah) of Morton, Emma of Fairbury and Abbey Bachtold of Fairbury; his grandfather John Uphoff of Gridley; and his close friends, Kolby and Gabby Kafer. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Fairbury (701 N 7th St, Fairbury, IL 61739). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family of Smith J. Bachtold.
