It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Steury of Fairfield, Illinois, who passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Steury and Lena "Lucille" Steury (Totten); his former wife Garnet Steury (Beaulieu); his wife Shirley Koker Steury (Tyler); his sons, Gary Steury and Edgar (Diana Steury); his grandsons, Charles Steury and Ian Steury; and his siblings, John Steury, Rose Cantrell and May Benson.
He is survived by: his children, Karl Steury of Fairfield, Earl Steury of Fairfield, Crissy Patterson of Fairfield, Tina Koker (Robert) of Fairfield and Mark Steury (Jonnie) of Geff, IL; and his daughter-in-law Janis Steury of Mt. Vernon, IL. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
