We announce the death of Dick Jess Feather of Fairfield, Illinois, who passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 86. Dick will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Burrell Feather and Eliza Feather (Haile); his siblings, Maxine Sanders and Burrell "Bud" Feather Jr.; and his son-in-law Bob Kinney.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Stallings Feather; his daughters, Sheila Kinney of Fairfield, Misti Link (Matthew) of Moorpark, California and Kristen McClammy (Justin) of Pensacola, Florida; and his grandchildren, Lindsay Berry (Dan), Bobby Kinney (Kellene), Taylor Baker (Dylan), Owen McClammy, Mattison Link and Emalyn Link. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, Inc. (106 NE 4th St, Fairfield, IL 62837). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home (106 NE 4th St, Fairfield, IL 62837).
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church and will be accepted at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home.
