She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl "Tom" Marshel and Ruby Marshel (Desch); her husband Elmer Richards; and her brother Woody Garrison. She is survived by: her daughters, Shannon Venters (Bruce) of Mt. Vernon, IL and Elizabeth Lee of Fairfield; her grandchildren, Hailey Moore, Ariel Moore and Kayda Lee; her great grandchild Makenzie Moore; and her siblings, Johnny Marshel of Sims, Sue Chepely of Fairfield and Becky Henry of Sims. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, Inc. (106 NE 4th St, Fairfield, IL 62837). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home (106 NE 4th St, Fairfield, IL 62837). A burial will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at the PIN Oak Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
