Edward Gagen Obituary
We announce the death of Edward Gagen (Fairview Heights, Illinois), who passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 83. Edward will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Gagen and Dorothy Gagen; and his in-laws, Don and Meredith Arnold. He is survived by: his wife Troby Gagen; his sons, Joshua Gagen and Sean Gagen (Morgan); his grandchildren, Annabeth Gagen, Lucy and Lainey Gagen; his brothers, Tom Gagen (Janet) and Kevin Gagen (Maryanne Kuzara); and his in-laws, Tracy Steiner (Dale), Todd Arnold (Kathy), Tammy Plummer (Jerry) and Tyler Arnold (Andrea). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kassly Mortuary Ltd. (9900 St Clair Ave, Fairview Heights, IL 62208). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pierron, IL, or Bond County Hospice Care.
