He was predeceased by : his parents, Mable Lewis and Ray Lewis; his brother Leroy Lewis; his brother-in-law William Simpson; and his grandson Alec Lewis.

He is survived by : his pet Joe Cocker; his significant other Sheila Lewis; his children, Jeri Wilson, Keri Kersten (Jeff) and Kevin Lewis (Angie); his grandchildren, Cameron George, Courtney Gonzalez (Jorge), Caylee George (Cody), Matthew Lewis, Kade Lewis, Aiden Lewis, Norah Kersten, Halas Kersten and MacKinnon Lewis; his great grandchildren, Erick Gonzalez, Abel Gonzalez and Mariano Gonzalez; and his sisters, Madaline Simpson and Diane Wingerter (Jerry). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
