With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mitzie Karraker of Fairview Heights, Illinois, born in Cairo, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 16, 2026 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Karraker and Margaret Miller Karraker; and his sister Linda Karraker Keckley. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ketcham Karraker; his children, Kirt MacManus (Terri) of St. Peters, Randy Karraker (Julie) of Belleville, Stephanie Schwappach (Joe) of Highland, Melissa Yuengel (Ryan Lippert) of Marissa and Brett MacManus (Kim Solop) of Spring Hill, Florida; his grandchildren, Evan MacManus (Nancy), Austin MacManus (Cameron Brotherton), Sheri Herman (Tim), Andrew Karraker (Makayla), Maggie Karraker, Seth Schwappach, Kaleb Schwappach, Blake Yuengel (Jocelyn), Alexis Yuengel, Allison MacManus (Erin) and Abigail Hasenbusch (Zachary); and his brothers, Rick Karraker (Diane) and Alan Karraker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
