James Rentfrow Obituary
We bid farewell to James Rentfrow of Farina, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 3, 2026 at the age of 76. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Rentfrow and Bernice Rentfrow (Williams); his brother-in-law Cecil Quick; and his nephew Ken Schwerman. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Fields; his children, Rebecca Rentfrow, Sara Hunley (Michael Mitchell), Jason Fields, Corey Fields (Alayna) and Josh Hunley; his grandchildren, Weston, Wyatt, Wayde, Logan, Tucker, Tatem and Tully; his sisters, Linda Goldstein (Ralph), Sandy Schwerman (Darrell) and Shelia Rentfrow; and his sister-in-law Shirley Quick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Campers on a Mission or First Southern Baptist Church of Farina and will be accepted at the services or at Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home, PO Box 97, Salem, Illinois 62881.
