He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Downey and Geneva Daniels Downey; his wife Clara Ruzes; his son Alan; and his brother Cliff Downey.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Moffitt (Dave) of Farmersville, Rick Downey of Farmersville and Terry Downey (Cathie) of Morrisonville. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
