It is with sadness that the passing of Tony Childress of Flanagan, Illinois is shared. Tony, born on October 8, 1958, passed away on October 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Moy and Nadine Childress; his wife Frances Faust; his stepfather John L. Burrell; his brother Vincent Mosley; and his stepsons, John Durham and John Earl Durham.
He is survived by: his daughter Tanesha Thomas (Edgar); his granddaughter Elena Kaye Thomas (Ellie); his stepdaughters, Sherry Aldridge (Scott) and Teresa Grundler (Dan); his stepmother Beverly Moy; and his siblings, Virginia Conley (WC), Mona Jackson (VJ), Renee Burrell, Shunda Burrell, Reggie Burrell (Edna), Rodney Burrell, Benny Mosley, Cheryl Mosley, Valerie Moy, Kimberly Mitchell (Jeffrey) and Tammy Moy Dowell. He is also survived by many step grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home (903 W Custer Ave, Pontiac, IL 61764). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shop with a Cop, which Tony helped bring to Livingston County.
