He was predeceased by : his parents, Oscar Childers and Laurel Childers (Webster); and his siblings, Charles Curtis Childers and Norma Jane Henson. He is survived by : his wife Beverly Childers of Flora; his children, Edith Jo Anne Edwards (Robert) of Carrollton, Laura Mae Ervin (Floyd) of Centralia, Tracey Lynne Cartnal (Jeff) of Florissant and Robert Wayne Childers Jr. (Karyn) of Estes Park, Colorado; his grandchildren, Jonathan Edwards, Olivia Miller, Stuart Ervin and Robert Eugene Cartnal II; his siblings, Larry Childers (Alice) of Flora and Rosemary Elmore of Newton; and his sister-in-law Joyce Childers of Colorado. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations are suggested to Flora First United Methodist Church and will be accepted through the funeral home.
