He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Leathers and Esther Leathers (Colclasure); his brothers, Ted and Stan Leathers; and his nephew Steve Leathers.

He is survived by: his children, Blake Leathers of Farina, Clayton Leathers (Terri) of Salem and Jessi Vaughan of Fairfield; his granddaughters, Shayna Leathers of Farina, Amanda Chappell (Kyle) of Lenexa and Patricia White (Raymond) of Claremont, Florida; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Leathers of Farina, Emmy Chappell of Lenexa, Autumn, Adelyn and Arabella White of Claremont, Florida..

Memorial donations are suggested to the family to assist with final expenses, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
