He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Francis and Laura E. Connell (Hunt); and his siblings, Pauline Gibbons and Roland Connell. He is survived by: his wife Rajean Connell of Flora; his sons, Michael Connell (Linda) of Monmouth, Karl Connell (Sheila) of Flora and Kevin Connell (Angie) of Flora; his grandchildren, Amber Choisser (Jeff), Laura Smith (Stephen), Ethan Connell, Eli Connell (Olivia), Danellia Vancil (Kyle) and Mark Connell; and his great grandchildren, Colin Choisser, Adara Smith, Wyatt Smith, Arwyn Smith, Levi Connell and Charlie Connell.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home (500 N Main St, Flora, IL 62839). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations are suggested to Shriners Hospitals for Children, in appreciation for the care that made a lasting difference in Hunter's life as a young man.
