Mike Chaney Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mike Chaney of Flora, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 29, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Frederick and Opal Fern Chaney (Greenwood); and his siblings, William "Bill" Chaney and Laura "Jean" Shehorn. He is survived by: his wife June Chaney of Flora; his daughters, Jodi Persinger (Steve) of Flora, Jennifer Warren (Justin) of Flora, Lea Havel (Tim) of Freeburg, Melissa Prosser (Josh) of Flora, Susan Harris (Scott) of Rinard and Lori Connolly (Ray) of Cedar Hill, Missouri; and his sister-in-law Donna Chaney. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to either Flora First Methodist Church or Clay County Hospice, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
