It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Rutland Jr. of Flora, Illinois, who passed away on December 1, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Rutland and Evelyn Rutland Sr. (Roy); his former life partner Jewell Rutland; and his siblings, Bob Rutland and Virginia Smith.
He is survived by : his wife Dorris Rutland of Flora; his children, Mark Rutland (Robin) of Iuka, Christy Robinson (Eric) of Flora and Chris Murbarger (Dawn) of Flora; his grandchildren, Reece Rutland (Myriam) of Benton, Cory Rutland of Long Mount, Lenzi, Aidan Robinson of Flora, Ava of Flora, Ethan of Flora, Kinsley of Flora and Connor Murbarger of Flora; his sister Peggy Jaco of Troy; his pet Abby; his mule Little John; and his pet Angel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was always willing to donate to others and help someone that was down on their luck.
