With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sue Yates of Flora, Illinois, born in Braman, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 13, 2022 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sue Yates to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Floyd O. Birkes and Cora Birkes (Lackey); her husband Ivan Yates; and her daughter Marsha Renee Yates. She is survived by : her children, Lana Forsythe of Decatur and Brad Yates of Flora; her grandchildren, Michael Bowen (Rob), T. J. Forsythe, Steven Forsythe (Mithila), Courtney Jackson, Ashley Hughes (David) and Jeff Yates (Bridget); her great grandchildren, Colin, Jaydon, Jazzlyn, Jaxson, Christian, Keelie, Emily and Austin; and her sisters-in-law, Gale Birkes of Texas and Wilma Yates of Fairfield. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
