She was predeceased by : her husband Leo Bernardi; her parents, Giovanna Valente and Fortunato Valente; and her brother Edwin Valente (Janet). She is survived by : her daughter Gina Bernardi (Patrick Karstrand); her granddaughters, Abigail "Abby" and Elizabeth "Liza" Karstrand; and her siblings, Angeline Bernardi (late Victor) and Irving Valente (Frances).
In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to American Legion Auxiliary, IL UNIT 1070, to support the veterans at Manteno Veteran's Home. Donations can be mailed in care of Sheila Scott, 417 West Arlington Lane, Crete, IL 60417-4303, or Rosary Hill Home, to support the Dominican Sisters who took such good care of mom at 9000 West 81st Street, Justice, Il 60458.
