He was predeceased by: his father Pranas Sutkus; and his brother-in-law Arvydas Kiela. He is survived by: his mother Ada Sutkus; his wife Anne O'Neill-Sutkus; his siblings, Linas Sutkus (Aušra), Dana Gauthier (Daniel), Vilia Sutkus-Kiela and Rasa Sutkus; his siblings' children, Andrea Kiela, Ginta Garland (Andrew), Jackie Buccino (Matthew), Daina Kiela, Loreta Sutkus, Julia Gauthier, Tommy Gauthier and John Gauthier (Diana); his great-nephew Artūras; and his great-niece Sofia.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home (18230 Dixie Hwy, Homewood, IL 60430). A prayer was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Veronica Catholic Church (1131 Douglas Ave, Flossmoor, IL 60422). A burial was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at the St. Casimir Cemetery (4401 W 111th St, Chicago, IL 60655).
