He was predeceased by: his siblings, Mariel Sandell, Doris Byers and Colyn Jared Kaney; and his parents, Calvin J. Kaney and Marie Kaney (Hayenga).
He is survived by: his wife Julia A. "Judy" Kaney (Stockton); his son Jeffrey Jared Kaney, Sr. (Nancy J. Kaney); and his grandsons, J. Jared Kaney, Jr. (Callie Sher) and Henry J. Kaney.
