He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Akins and Mildred Akins; his brother James; his sister-in-law Alice; his brother Jared; his sister-in-law Delores; his sister Cynthia; and his brother-in-law Roger Walker.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Clarke; his daughters, Tanya Doyle (Duncan) of Denver, CO and Amanda; his grandchildren, Keegan Jeffery, Maddox Robert, Owen George, Hazel Elizabeth Marjorie, Keegan Akins, Maddox Busker, Owen Doyle and Hazel Doyle; his brother John; his sister-in-law Wilma; his daughters, Mandy and Kim of Forreston, IL; his close friend Susan Tyrrell; Mandy Pearson (Kirk) of Freeport and Dixon.
