He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Frank" Fornwalt and Sophia Fornwalt; his wife Ruby May Tucker; his son Bill; and his siblings, Elwood, Kenneth, Floyd, Faye, Dorothy, Suzanne, Enid Whiteside and Vera Engle.
He is survived by: his daughter Elaine Cripe (Bud) of Decatur; his granddaughters, Terri Moore (Dan) of Decatur and Kristi Palmer of Decatur; his great grandchildren, Andrew Bennett (Krystal) of Findlay, Daniel Bennett (Shaina) of Bethany and Oliver Palmer (Kara Bratton) of Decatur; and his great great grandchildren, Bailey, Dezi, Rase, Bre and Trintin.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home (2091 N Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County.
