With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth Frey of Forsyth, Illinois, born in West Burlington, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 14, 2026 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Patrick Sr. and Emily Mary Levins (French); her children, Charles Michael and Beth Marie; and her siblings, Alvin Patrick Levins Jr., Donald Thomas Levins, Arthur Paul Levins, Russell James Levins, John Daniel Levins, Marilyn Frances Weingart, Helen Theresa Rankin, Carol Lynn Phillips and Norma Jean Raschendorfer.
She is survived by: her husband Charles T. Frey of Mary's Catholic Church; her children, Jeanne Curry (Carl), Celeste Ames (Tom), Thomas Frey and Joseph Frey (Valora); her siblings, LeRoy Joseph Levins, Mark Edward Levins, Richard Michael Levins, Rosemary Ann Loper and Paulette Joan Nichols; and her grandchildren, Sarah Curry, Charles Curry, Natalie Fritz (Paul), Marielle Allen (Zachary), Amaya Beth Frey, Seth Halford (Ieisha) and Charissa Wilmes (David). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and many very loved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
