Merle Copenbarger Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Merle Copenbarger of Forsyth, Illinois, born in Mount Auburn, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 24, 2024 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Doris; his daughter Kathleen; his grandsons, Sean and Brett; and his sister Phyllis Scott.

He is survived by : his daughters, Ann Parrish (Rick) of West Lafayette, IN and Cheryl Logue (Dan) of Decatur, IL; and his grandchildren, Patrick, Jonathan, Jenny, Joshua, Emy and Cassy. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home - Decatur (2827 N Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials in Merle's honor may be made to: National Multiple Sclerosis Society or Oreana Christian Church.
