He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Markillie and Eleanor Markillie; his former life partners, Judith Higgeby and Judith Markillie; his brother Ronald Markillie; and his stepdaughter Rhonda Hollinshead.

He is survived by : his wife Lorraine Markillie; his stepdaughter Stacey T Straubinger (Vince); his stepgrandchildren, Jared Tejada (Jennifer Tucker), Rachel Tejada (Leigh), Eric Tejada, Lauren Hollinshead, Trey Hollinshead (Sami) and Ty Hollinshead; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Isla Tejada-Tucker and Indy Tejada-Tucker. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
