He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Wellman and Shirley Wellman (Beckman); his pets, Ranger, Roxie, Gracie and Ruby; his wife Karen Ruth Williams; his children, Tyler, Jennifer, Ashely Wellman, Stacey Linder II (Melvin) of Mendon, IL and Brandon Payne (Amy) of Rockford, IL; the parent of his child Shirley of Quincy; his grandchildren, Jordan Payne (Taylor), Reed Linder, Madison and Macy Payne; his siblings, Kent Wellman (Kim) of Quincy, Sue Curtis (Doug) and Sherry Parsons (Ronnie) of Perry, MO.; his in-laws, Sharon Shiverdecker (Rick) of Fulton, MO, Larry Williams (Janet) of Perry, MO and Tiffany Maxwell (Randy) of Mexico, MO; his father-in-law Joseph Williams of Laddonia, MO.; his grandparents, Alfred, Lillian Wellman, Arthur and Viola Beckman; his brother Steve Wellman; and his mother-in-law Delores Williams. He was also cherished by Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Central Baptist Church (321 N 7th St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Blessing Foundation for Hospice or to Central Baptist Church for the BUGS Children's Program.
