Roy left this world on May 12, 2026 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Vonderheide and Peters; his wife Joan M. Westhaus; his siblings, Virgil Vonderheide, Norbert Vonderheide (Maxine) and Ferdie Vonderheide; and his brother-in-law Joe Mast.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Vonderheide of Fowler, Cheryl Shultz of Staunton, IL, Cathy Hultz (Ron) of Quincy and Peggy Pulliam (Brian) of Wildwood, MO.; his grandchildren, Amber Shultz, Brandt Shultz (Valentina), Brooke Hultz (Luisana Aguilar), Zachary Hultz, Nicholas Hultz, Joshua Pulliam, Madison Pulliam and Megan Pulliam; his sister Margie Mast; and his sisters-in-law, Patti Vonderheide and Carolyn Vonderheide.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home (823 Broadway St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (2600 Maine St, Quincy, IL 62301).
