With sadness, we share the passing of Dirk A. Drehobl (Fox Lake, Illinois). Dirk, born on January 14, 1954, passed away on September 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Dirk for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Tascher and Cathy Drehobl. He is survived by: his wife Marie; his children, Erica Bender (Joe) and Dirk "Tony"; and his grandchildren, Duncan, Zakary, Grace and Sofia. He is also survived by his sister and three brothers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (591 Ridgeview Dr, McHenry, IL 60050). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Lakes-St. Bede Church (36455 N Wilson Rd, Ingleside, IL 60041).
In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for those who wish to have a Mass offered in Dirk's memory.
