He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Sims and Nora Sims (Hooker); and his brothers, Warren Sims and Gerald Sims. He is survived by: his wife Frances Sims (Berschinski); his sons, Mark Sims (Barbara) and Jeffrey Sims (Laurie); his sister Muriel Long; his grandchildren, Jeremy Sims, Jacqueline Fiske (Jason), Erica Sims and Heather Lei (John); and his great grandchildren, Brayden Fiske, Parker Fiske, Harper Lei and Oliver Lei.
