We announce the death of Diane Marie Pieczynski of Frankfort, Illinois, who passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 87. Diane will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Edward J. Pieczynski; and her parents, John F. Krynicki and Agnes Krynicki. She is survived by: her children, Dennis Pieczynski, Denise Bender (Larry) and Edith Lutz (Timothy); her grandchildren, Kyle Pieczynski (Erin), Major Steven Pieczynski (Kelsey), Captain Timothy Lutz (Erica) and Lieutenant Kirsten Lutz; her siblings, Richard Krynicki (Jean), Patricia Hnatt (Daniel), Ronald Krynicki (Doris), Evelyn Tobinski (John), Geraldine Relinski (Robert) and Kathleen Niksic (Tom); and her close friend Helen Rose Kobitta.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel (65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (7659 W Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL 60423).
