He was predeceased by : his parents, Abraham Codo and Lena Fusi Codo; his former life partner Patricia Elizabeth Mitchell; and his granddaughter Angelina Peters. He is survived by : his son David Peters; his wife Phyllis Codo; his children, Robert Codo (Christine Wollner), Christopher Codo (Lisa Codo), Judith Peters (David Peters) and William Codo (Arian McInerney); his stepson Donald Peters (Martha Wittling); his brother-in-law James Mitchell (Suzie); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Volka (John), Christopher Codo (Miriam), Zachary Codo (Margaret), Emma Peters Kaiser (Scott), Samuel Codo, Daniel Codo, Kaela Codo, Jacob Codo, Owen Codo, Becket McInerney, Delaney McInerney and Matthew Peters; and his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Oliver, Alia, Christopher and Brody.
