He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Howland and Lorraine Howland; his brother Jerry Howland; and his sisters-in-law, Elayne Howland and Bonnie Howland.
He is survived by: his wife Irene Howland; his children, Rick, Lisa Howland, Randy and Vanessa Howland; his grandchildren, Kennedy Howland, Kelcie Howland, Khloe, Cole Glasser and Kristopher Howland; and his brother Patrick Howland. He is also survived by loving sisters and brothers in law; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of Chicago, Comprehensive Cancer Center, Chicago, IL or to the Cancer Support Center, Mokena, IL.
